Thought I could glue down LVP on a damp slab, big mistake

Did a basement job in Raleigh last month, slab tested fine with a meter but I skipped the full moisture test. Within 3 weeks the planks were cupping along the seams. Now I'm pulling it all up and eating the cost. Anyone else learned this the hard way?

Switched to a floating click-lock plank over a quality vapor barrier and never looked back.

Heard from a buddy that some of those click-lock planks can actually trap moisture underneath if you don't let the floor acclimate first, @black.patricia. Did you let yours sit out before installing or just lay them right down? The vapor barrier makes sense for basements but I've seen people skip it and still get away with it for years. Guess it really depends on how humid your climate gets.
