Tried recapping a 1980s boombox and my cat knocked the whole thing off the table

I had all 12 capacitors lined up perfectly on my workbench, cat jumped up chasing a fly, and now I'm finding tiny electrolytic cans rolled under the fridge and the board has a new crack in it, has anyone else had a pet disaster mid-repair?

Did you check under the stove too? I had a similar thing happen with a vintage receiver I was recapping, only it was my dog wagging his tail and knocking over the whole tray of capacitors. I found one inside a sneaker three days later and another one stuck to the bottom of a magnet on the fridge. My wife still brings it up every time I mention working on electronics.

Ha! Oh man, @perez.mia, that magnet one is brutal. I'd be so paranoid about finding a cap stuck to the fridge every time I opened it for a snack. Honestly, I'm surprised your wife doesn't just ban you to the garage with a roll of paper towels. You've got to wonder if that capacitor just wanted a better view of the kitchen.
