Hit 100 soldered joints on one PCB and finally understood why flux matters
I always thought flux was optional until I hit my 100th joint on an old Commodore 64 power supply repair and realized my last 20 joints went so much smoother after I actually used it properly. Has anyone else fought with cold joints before giving in and using quality flux?

Legit same thing happened to me on my first big Arduino shield build. Thought I was just bad at soldering until I grabbed some decent rosin flux and suddenly everything flowed perfect. That stuff is basically magic for getting those stubborn joints to actually wet properly.

You used regular plumbing flux on a circuit board?
