Dropped $150 on a fancy paint sprayer and kind of regret it
I bought a Graco Magnum last month to paint my living room ceiling and walls, thinking it would save me from all that roller work. But I spent more time cleaning the dang thing than I did actually painting, and now I'm back to using a brush. Did you guys have a better experience with these or is it just me being impatient?

Oh man, I totally get that feeling. I used to think sprayers were the ultimate time-saver and everybody just needed to learn how to use them right. But then I borrowed my buddy's and spent a whole Saturday just cleaning it over and over. Your mileage may vary of course, but in my experience the prep and cleanup just isn't worth it for a regular room. I'm back to rollers and brushes for almost everything now, it's just simpler and I can actually get it done in an afternoon.

I don't know man, a whole Saturday just for cleanup? That seems a bit dramatic. I mean yeah sprayers are a pain to clean but if you run some water through it and pull the trigger a few times it's like 20 minutes tops. Unless your buddy never cleaned his and everything was caked on.
