After 6 months of spray lubes I finally switched to wax for my chain

I stuck with spray chain lube for years because it's what everyone at the local shop recommended. But after re-building a bike for my nephew this spring, I decided to try the wax dip method on my commuter bike. The difference is night and day - my chain stays clean for weeks instead of getting grimy after one rainy ride. No more wiping black gunk off my leg every time I pedal. Anyone else made the switch and found that wax lasts way longer between applications?

Tried wax once and spent 20 minutes picking my chain off the floor.

Tried wax once and spent 20 minutes picking my chain off the floor" - wait what? Ngl that actually sounds like you used some weird glue or something. Tbh wax should just drip off if you're doing the dipping method right, not turn into a sticky mess on the floor. Honestly I've never had that problem with wax, I just dip it in the hot wax, let it drip for a second, then hang it up to cool. Maybe you used too much or it was still too hot when you took it out? That 20 minutes thing sounds crazy to me though. I get better grip and cleaner drivetrain every time.
