I built my shed floor with pallets and it's still level 8 months later
So my shed build budget was basically nothing after I bought the lumber for the walls and roof. I read online that pallets make a terrible subfloor because they rot and shift. But I had a stack of heat-treated pallets from work so I figured why not try it. I leveled the ground with gravel first, then laid down landscape fabric to block weeds. Then I screwed each pallet to the next one using 3 inch deck screws and put a layer of 3/4 inch plywood on top. It has survived two heavy rain seasons here in Portland and nothing has sagged or tilted yet. I know this probably isn't code but has anyone else gotten away with a janky floor like this?

Solidarity here because I tried the same thing on my garden shed last spring and it is still holding up fine. People act like pallets are made of paper mache but heat treated ones with good gravel base actually work okay for a low budget build. Yours sounds like you took the time to do it right with the plywood on top so I bet it will last longer than people think.

Did you sacrifice a goat to the shed gods or something? Mine caved in after one good rainstorm with that setup.
