Discovered a trick for stubborn tub stoppers after 2 hours of frustration
I spent forever trying to pull out a pop-up tub stopper that was stuck closed, using pliers and even a screwdriver. Then I read that pouring boiling water down the overflow plate for a minute loosens the mineral buildup around the spring. Has anyone else tried heat on plumbing parts or do you think that risks damaging the pipes?

Pro tip - toss a plastic bag over the stopper before you yank so the pliers don't scratch the chrome, learned that the hard way lol.
