Two sides to this ghostwriting stat I stumbled on last night

I was reading a blog about freelance rates and found out that top ghostwriters charge $1.50 per word, but most first-time clients expect under 20 cents. It makes me wonder if we should value the person doing the writing more or if clients are right to keep costs low with smaller projects. What do you all think, is the gap fair or is someone getting ripped off?

Sounds like clients want a bargain and a bestseller.

Boutique agencies actually get this right by capping their client list at 10. They trade volume for deeper relationships and better work.
