That week my yard got wrecked by a lawn crew...
I paid a landscaping crew $200 to mow and edge my tiny front yard near Atlanta, and they scalped half the grass and sprayed weed killer on my boxwoods. Has anyone else had a yard service ruin their curb appeal and somehow get away with it?

Wait, you're complaining about a $200 lawn crew scalping your grass and killing some boxwoods? I've got to ask, did you actually look at their work before you paid them? Because if you handed over cash for a job that bad, that's kind of on you for not inspecting it first. A lot of those cheap crews just rush through because they know they can get away with it. Plus, if your grass was already looking rough or your boxwoods were in the way, maybe they were just trying to do you a favor by starting over. I'd say you got exactly what you paid for with a bargain basement price.

Woah, hold on there. I gotta disagree a bit. I hired a cheap crew once for $150 and they totally wrecked my front yard. I was right there watching them, but they worked so fast I couldn't spot the damage until after they left. The grass was shorn down to dirt in some spots. I learned my lesson the hard way. Now I always ask to see a recent job they did, or I pay half upfront and half after a walkthrough. Have you ever had a bad experience with a low priced crew like that?
