That overgrown shrub that almost cost me a window

Last spring I let this juniper out front get way too tall, figured I'd trim it next weekend. Then a storm rolled through and a branch snapped right through my living room window, $400 to replace. Anyone else had landscaping decide it was time for indoor renovations?

Oh man, "indoor renovations" made me laugh (sorry, not sorry). That really stinks though, $400 for a window is brutal when all you wanted was a weekend gardening project.

Funny how the simplest projects always seem to snowball, right? Reminds me of a time I tried to fix a squeaky door and ended up replacing the whole frame thanks to rotten wood. Hope your plants survive the shift to indoor life, harperb46.
