Saw this post about painting your front door yellow and I was totally against it
I heard my neighbor say it makes people feel welcome instantly and now I'm actually thinking about trying it on my faded blue door. Anyone else change their mind about a bright door color after hearing someone else's take?

Funny how someone else's paint choice can make you question your whole life. My neighbor went with a bright orange door last summer and I spent a solid month second-guessing my own taste.

I read somewhere that yellow doors actually stem from a old superstition about warding off evil spirits, which I found kind of charming. My neighbor painted hers a soft butter yellow last spring and I have to admit, the whole street feels a bit brighter now. It made me rethink my own navy blue door, though I still might stick with a darker shade for the dirt factor.
