Painted my front door a wild color and the whole street noticed

I got bored last weekend and painted my boring white front door a bright teal for $18 in leftover paint from the garage. Thought it would look dumb but now three neighbors have asked me what color it is and one guy said it made his morning walk better. Learned that a tiny cheap pop of color can totally change how your house feels from the street. Anyone else try a bold door color and get weirdly positive reactions?

My buddy painted his door a bright orange a few years back and his mailman started leaving little notes saying it made his route less boring... pretty funny how something that simple can catch people's attention.

Oh man, that's great. I painted my front door a deep teal a couple years ago and my neighbor who walks her dog every morning stopped to tell me it made her smile. I guess I just picked a color I liked but it's wild how something that small can actually brighten someone's day on their boring routine. Now I'm thinking about painting the mailbox to match.
