I finally got my porch light to warm up the whole front step instead of just one corner
I used to just leave the builder-grade fixture with a single bulb, but after my mom tripped on the welcome mat last spring I swapped it for a $15 motion-sensor floodlight from Lowe's. Now the whole 4-foot landing is lit when anyone walks up, and I didn't have to rewire anything since it screws right into the existing box. Anyone else find a simple light change helped curb appeal way more than expected?

Same here - swapped out a dim old fixture for a simple LED flood and suddenly the whole walkway looks intentional, not just functional. Makes a huge difference for something that takes ten minutes.
