Spent 3 hours fixing a loose doorknob that just needed a screw tightened
My front door knob was wobbling like crazy for weeks, so I took the whole thing apart, watched four YouTube videos, and even made a trip to the hardware store for new screws... only to realize the original screw was just half a turn loose the whole time. Has anyone else gone on a total wild goose chase for a ten-second fix?

Joining in on this one cause I did almost the exact same thing last month with a sticking bathroom lock. Took the whole handle off, bought a new latch mechanism, fought with it for two hours and scratched up my door frame. Then I realized the strike plate was just a millimeter out of alignment, one easy tap with a hammer and it was fine. I felt so dumb but also kind of proud I learned how to take the whole thing apart, even if it was pointless. It happens to the best of us honestly, those tiny problems always end up taking the longest.

Man, that's such a familiar feeling. I've absolutely been there with a squeaky cabinet hinge that turned out to be one tiny drop of oil. It stings a little but you end up learning way more than you bargained for anyway.
