Found a weird trick for stuck window sashes
My upstairs window been stuck for 2 years. Tried WD-40, tried tapping it with a hammer. Nothing. Then I rubbed a bar of soap on the tracks. Slides like new now. Anyone else got a weird fix that worked when nothing else did?

Did you try bacon grease? I'm only half kidding - my grandmother swore by it for everything from squeaky hinges to stuck zippers. Of course, then you've got the problem of attracting every mouse within a mile radius. But hey, at least the window would slide open so you could watch them run away.

Oh man @fiona130, now I'm just imagining a whole army of mice sliding down my window like it's a waterslide lmao. Guess I'd have to start charging admission to watch the show if I ever tried that bacon grease trick.
