That time I tried to fix a squeaky door with WD-40 and flooded my hallway

I was in my apartment last week and the bedroom door was screeching like a dying cat every time I opened it. Grabbed the WD-40 can from under the sink, sprayed the hinges, but the nozzle was stuck so I pressed harder and it shot a stream right across the hardwood floor. Ended up with a slick patch that I nearly wiped out on, and my wife walked in just as I was sliding around trying to wipe it up with a rag. She laughed for five minutes straight. Has anyone else had a spray can go rogue on them mid-fix?

My friend tried that on a linoleum floor and ended up sliding right into a bookshelf. Had a bruise on her hip for weeks.
