Overheard a repair shop guy saying they won't fix a $10 toaster cause the labor cost is more than a new one
That made me realize we need to start sharing simple fixes for small appliances online so folks don't automatically toss them when a $3 part would do the job, has anyone here successfully fixed a toaster before?

It's wild how we've gotten used to trashing stuff over a few bucks, but that same mindset is why we have piles of perfectly good electronics in landfills that just needed a little TLC to keep running.

Oh man @brookebailey you're so right, I literally just fixed an old coffee maker that was about to go in the trash, took me ten minutes and a screwdriver. It's insane what we throw away when a little effort can save it.
