I finally stopped throwing away leaky spray bottles
For years I'd toss those trigger sprayers as soon as they dripped or stopped working right. Then 3 months ago I spent $7 on a brass repair kit with new gaskets and o-rings. Turns out the little rubber washer inside gets flattened after like 6 months of use. Now I just swap that one part instead of buying a whole new bottle. Has anyone else had luck fixing those cheap spray heads or is it just me?

Respectfully, that's kinda the problem right there. Throwing away a whole plastic bottle and spraying mechanism for a buck just means more crap in the landfill. The cheap ones fail because the gasket is garbage, and replacing that one little rubber ring takes like two minutes with a pair of pliers. That brass kit will probably outlast the sprayer itself, so it's way less hassle in the long run once you do it once. Fixing stuff instead of trashing it is a pretty good habit, especially when the fix costs less than the bottle itself.
