Hot take: I was totally wrong about skipping a sewer scope inspection to save $300.
My realtor told me 'you don't want to find out what's in those pipes the hard way,' and after seeing the video of a collapsed line under the house we almost bought in Tempe, I'm getting one on every offer now, no exceptions. What's the one inspection you'd never skip?

Your realtor was right about finding out the hard way. It's wild how often we skip the small checks to save a little now, then pay a ton later. I see it with everything, not just houses, like skipping an oil change to save sixty bucks and then needing a whole new engine. That sewer scope is cheap peace of mind.

Ugh, I'm the king of that "save now, pay later" move myself.
