Can we talk about how people skip the sewer scope inspection?

We almost bought a house in Denver last month that had a $12,000 root intrusion issue the camera found. Has anyone else dodged a major bullet with a specific inspection?

Jumped on that sewer scope last year on a fixer upper in the suburbs. Turned out the old clay pipe had a massive crack right where the city line meets the house. Seller tried to play it off like it was nothing but the camera doesnt lie. We walked away and later found out the next buyer got stuck with a $7k repair bill. That little camera saved our butts for sure.

Man that's EXACTLY what I'm talking about. People think sewer scopes are just some extra fee the inspector wants to tack on but that camera saves you from financial disaster every time. The fact that sellers try to hide that stuff just proves you NEED to see it for yourself before closing.
