That $60 kraut pounder I bought is sitting in my drawer unused.
I spent good money on this wooden tamper to pack my cabbage tight. Then I realized a washed fist works just as good, maybe better. Anyone else regret buying a special tool for something your hands do fine

Sell it on Facebook Marketplace and use your hand. I've never bought a kitchen tool that I didn't realize my own hands could do better for free.

Ditch the wooden thing and use your hand. Seriously, I bought a garlic press once and never use it. My palm does a better job crushing cloves anyway. The tamper is just taking up space in your drawer. Sell it and buy some decent kraut instead.
