My kombucha scoby sank and I panicked, so I tried something stupid

I was sure the batch was ruined, but after 48 hours I gently swirled the jar once a day. It actually floated back up and grew a fresh baby layer on top. Has anyone else revived a sunken scoby, or did I just get lucky?

Seen that happen with a lot of things. Sometimes you just gotta leave stuff alone and it sorts itself out.

My neighbor's old truck wouldn't start for a solid week, @the_eva. He kept messing with the battery cables and checking fuses. Finally gave up and left it alone, and three days later it fired right up like nothing was wrong. It's funny how that works out sometimes, just walking away from a problem. Makes you wonder how much time we waste trying to fix things that just need a minute to settle.
