A full month? That's wild. Mine is usually ready in like a week, week and a half tops. What kind of tea did you use? I wonder if a weaker starter or a cooler room could slow it down that much. Did you taste it every few days or just let it sit?

Ever try a black tea base? Mine took forever with green tea, switched to a strong black blend and it fermented way faster.
