Shoutout to the guy who told me to spend $45 on a laser level for post alignment
Bought a cheap Bosch laser level for $45 after fighting with string lines on a 200-foot run last month, and it saved me like 3 hours of re-digging holes after I found out my second post was already off by half an inch, anyone else swear by these things or still use the old string method?

Borrowed my neighbor's laser after @barbara_kim mentioned it and never looked back at the string.

The string method is fine until the wind picks up or you accidentally bump it with your boot. That Bosch level is a solid deal though. I remember helping a buddy set up a fence row for his horses and we spent an entire afternoon rechecking everything with a line level because his ground was so uneven. The laser made quick work of it, just had to watch out for the sun washing out the beam.
