Remember trying to set a line through that old rock wall in Burlington?
Hit a seam of solid granite about three feet down that the probe missed, and it took us two full days with a demo hammer to clear it instead of the planned three hours. I mean, we used to just muscle through stuff like that, but now I'm looking at small rock drills for next time. Anyone have a model they like for tight spots like that?

Oh man, that sounds way too familiar. I swear I've spent half my career just fighting with granite the probe swore wasn't there. My back still twinges thinking about it. I bought one of those smaller Bosch bulldog drills for exactly that, and it's been a lifesaver for not wrecking myself. It's not perfect, but it fits where the big gear won't and saves my shoulders from another decade of complaining.

Is a small drill really the answer for solid granite? That stuff laughs at most handheld tools. You might just be trading one long day for another.
