Rant: A sinking post taught me a hard lesson

I skipped concrete on a dry day. Next rain, the post tilted and I had to redo it.

That 24 hours of drying time they tell you on the concrete bag is not just a friendly suggestion. I learned that basic physics will absolutely come for you if your concrete mix is still lazy and wet. The ground just swallows it whole and your post does its best Leaning Tower of Pisa impression. My neighbor's fence looked like a modern art sculpture for a week because the new mix refused to bond to the old slop.
