Am I the only one who regrets buying that $500 post hole digger attachment?
I dropped $500 on a hydraulic auger attachment for my skid steer last spring, thinking it would save me hours on a big job in Marietta. First day out, it snapped a shear pin on a single rock and then the motor started leaking oil after just 8 holes. Now it's sitting in my shed collecting dust while I'm back to using my old manual two-man digger. Has anyone else had luck with a cheaper brand that actually holds up?

My neighbor bought a cheap Harbor Freight auger for his tractor and the thing twisted itself into a pretzel the second time he used it. Some things just aren't meant to be saved on.

Yeah faitha40, I learned that lesson the hard way too with a post hole digger. Ended up just renting a heavy duty one from the equipment yard for that one job and it saved me the headache.
