Watched a tailor in New York fix a jacket hem in 3 minutes flat
I was at a tiny shop in the garment district last month getting a vintage blazer altered. The guy didn't use pins, just chalked the whole thing freehand while talking to me. He finished in under 5 minutes and it fit perfectly. Has anyone else tried learning basic tailoring instead of hunting for the perfect fit off the rack?

Oh man, that reminds me of the time I watched a cobbler in Chicago resole a pair of boots while balancing his coffee cup on a shelf. It's wild what people can do when they've been at it for decades.

And here I am struggling not to spill coffee while standing still.
