Watched a silk shirt go from wrinkled mess to smooth in 20 minutes

I was at my friend's studio last Tuesday and she showed me this trick with a garment steamer and a wooden hanger. She had this old silk blouse that looked like it came out of a balled up suitcase. After 20 minutes of steaming and letting it hang, it looked like it just came off a mannequin. The key was using distilled water so there were no mineral spots left behind. Has anyone else had good luck with steaming delicate fabrics instead of ironing them?

I mean sure it sounds nice but is it really that big of a deal? I just use my regular iron on low heat and it takes like 5 minutes tops.

Nah, you're risking scorch marks that'll never come out.
