Unpopular opinion: I saw a designer's collection go from all black to super colorful in just one season.
It was at a show in Atlanta last year, and the change was huge. Do you think that kind of total shift is a bold creative move or just chasing trends?

Was the designer actually showing a new side of themselves or just trying to get attention? A total shift like that makes me wonder if they were bored and finally taking a real risk, which is cool. But if they just saw colorful stuff selling and switched overnight, that feels fake and like they have no point of view. It's a huge gamble because their old customers might feel betrayed. Honestly, the next collection will tell us everything. If they stick with color, it was a real change. If they snap back to black, it was just a trend hop.

Honestly a total shift can work if the core design stays strong. My favorite brand did something similar and it felt fresh, not fake, because the cuts were still theirs. The key is if the change feels honest or just for the hype.
