Unpopular opinion: hand sewing patches is way better than using that iron-on glue stuff
I spent 3 hours last Sunday trying to iron on a patch for my denim jacket and it fell off by Tuesday morning, what a joke. The heat activated adhesive just peeled right off after one wash, and now I have a weird sticky residue all over the sleeve. I ended up hand stitching it with some heavy duty thread I found in my grandma's sewing box and honestly it looks so much cleaner and has stayed put. Am I the only one who thinks those iron on kits are a total waste of $8?

Did your story finally convince me to give up on those iron on kits for good?

Stick with actual stitch patterns @the_rowan, those kits are nothing but trouble waiting to happen.
