Serious question, how do you sketch with sweaty hands in summer?

I was at a design meetup in Austin last July trying to draft a draped collar and my pencil kept slipping off the paper from the humidity. Has anyone found a grip or tool that actually works for this?

Oh man, sweaty hands are the worst for sketching! I once tried to do a quick gesture drawing at a park in July and my palm left a literal puddle on the paper. So gross. Here's what kinda works for me, your mileage may vary. I've had decent luck with those rubber pencil grips you can get at any art supply store, the ones that look like squishy little tubes. They absorb some moisture and give you a better hold. Also, I keep a hand towel draped over my knee and just wipe my palm every 30 seconds, it feels ridiculous but it's better than slipping all over the place. For really bad days I'll dust my hands with a bit of cornstarch or baby powder, just a tiny amount so it doesn't get on the drawing.

Wait, are you telling me there's a way to draw that doesn't involve leaving a crime scene on your paper?
