Remember when cargo pants were just for hiking? Saw a guy at a 2004 Warped Tour wearing them with a studded belt and a band tee, totally changed how I saw them.
I was sketching some utility-inspired streetwear and that memory hit me. It made me realize how much context can flip a whole garment's purpose. Anyone else have an old concert or event that shifted their design thinking?

Watched my buddy at a basement show in 2006. He had on a thrifted bowling shirt over a mesh jersey. Completely broke my idea of what "layers" could be.
