Picked linen over polyester for a summer dress and nearly melted

I was designing a sundress for a client in Phoenix and went with pure linen because it breathes better. Got the prototype back and it wrinkled so bad after one wear she brought it back crying. Should I have gone with a linen blend or just accepted the wrinkles as part of the look?

My ironing board actually filed a restraining order against my linen pants.

Oh my goodness, I've been there with a client too. What finally worked for me was going with a heavier weight linen and washing it three times before sewing the final garment. That softens it up so the wrinkles aren't so stiff and obvious. And @logan_dixon18, your ironing board comment got a laugh out of me because I still have to steam my linen dresses every single time before a big event. For Phoenix, I'd suggest a 50/50 linen and cotton blend - it breathes almost as well but holds its shape much longer.
