I finally switched from square nails to regular ones for hot shoeing

Used to swear by square nails for the extra grip, but after a bad string of hoof cracks last spring I tried standard diamond heads. Now I finish a set in 10 minutes less and the horses seem way more comfortable.

Diamond heads really do make a difference on the comfort side.
