I bought a cheap hoof stand from a farm auction and it broke in a month
It was a no-name brand stand I got for $80 at the auction in Lancaster, and the main post snapped clean off while I was working on a draft horse. I'm out the cash and had to finish the job holding the hoof up myself, which was a real pain. What's a good, solid brand for a stand that can handle bigger horses?

That auction junk is ALWAYS a gamble.

Yeah, my buddy had a similar thing happen with a cheap stand. It was one of those flimsy tripod types, and the whole thing just folded in on itself when his Percheron shifted weight. He ended up having to order a Sullivan stand, the heavy duty one, and hasn't had a single issue since, even with his big guys. That thing is built like a tank.
