Paid $400 for a resume rewrite service and got back something a 5th grader could have written

I hired an executive resume service last month to rewrite my VP level resume. They charged me $400 and promised C-suite targeted language and ATS optimization. What I got back was full of generic buzzwords and actually had a typo in the first paragraph. I asked for a revision and they tried to upsell me another package. Has anyone else dealt with these overpriced resume mills?

Honestly, you might be expecting too much for $400 - most legit resume writers charge way more than that, and a basic rewrite with some buzzwords is pretty standard for that price point.
