Am I the only one who thinks virtual executive assistants are overhyped?
I hired a virtual assistant service for my electrical shop about 6 months ago. They promised faster scheduling and client follow ups but it took me 3 weeks just to get them to understand my basic billing system. Meanwhile I could have trained a local college intern in 2 days for half the cost. Has anyone else found that real local help beats remote services for hands on business tasks?

Man, I feel you on that "3 weeks just to get them to understand my basic billing system" part. That's a whole month of headaches for something that should take a couple days tops. Sometimes the simple, direct approach with someone local just works better for the nitty gritty stuff.
