That time I compared a cheap hacksaw blade to a mid-range one on a cast iron pipe
I was cutting an old cast iron pipe in my basement last weekend. Started with a dollar store blade, figured it was all the same. After 15 minutes I had barely made a quarter inch dent and my arm was dead. Swapped to a $4 Stanley blade from the hardware store and cut through in maybe 4 minutes flat. Anyone else notice how much blade quality actually matters on hard materials?

That "quarter inch dent in 15 minutes" part is exactly why I always buy mid-range blades now.
