Talked to an HVAC guy who changed my mind about cleaning dryer vents

Always thought it was a gimmick till my neighbor Dave who does HVAC said the lint buildup can cut airflow by 30% and cause fires. He showed me a photo of one he pulled out that was crusty and half clogged. Anyone else bother with those brush kits?

My cat once dragged a dead mouse out of a similar vent. Creepy stuff.
