Question about switching from corded to cordless for my circular saw

I finally got tired of dragging extension cords around on jobsites and picked up a Milwaukee M18 circular saw last week. The power seems fine for most cuts but I'm wondering if I'm gonna regret this when I need to rip a bunch of 3/4 inch plywood in one go. Has anyone else made the switch and found the battery life lacking?

I swapped to an M18 fuel circular saw about six months ago and here's the thing. You can rip a whole sheet of 3/4 plywood on one charge if your battery is a 5.0 or higher. If you're using a 2.0 or 3.0 though you will run out halfway through and have to wait for it to charge. Plan on buying two bigger batteries if you don't already have them. The power is there but the runtime catches you off guard.

Happened to a buddy of mine last month... he borrowed his neighbor's M18 saw to cut down some sheathing for a shed. He figured his old 3.0 battery would be fine, you know, just a couple cuts. Got halfway through the second sheet and the saw just died. Had to sit there on his tailgate for forty minutes while it charged. His neighbor came out and laughed at him, said "should've grabbed the 6.0 from the charger." He ended up just running an extension cord to his old corded Skill saw.
