Pro tip: Ditch the needle-nose pliers for zip ties, use the trimmer on your flush cutters instead

I always used needle-nose to get zip ties snug till I saw a guy at the Love's in Flagstaff clip them flush with his side cutters. The difference in how clean everything looks is night and day, plus no more sharp little nubs scratching my arm. Anyone else made the switch to flush cutters for this?

Right? Love's parking lot tool tips are the real deal. I still have a scar on my forearm from a zip tie nub I didn't see on an air intake hose. Now I just clip em flush and walk away like nothing happened. It's almost too easy. Almost makes me feel bad for all those years of bloody knuckles and ripped sleeves. Not really though.

Oh man, you just made me realize something. Those scars are like a mechanic's merit badge system, except nobody asked for them and they don't open any doors. Getting rid of them feels weirdly like cheating at a game nobody was keeping score for anyway.
