Neighbor showed me his cracked garden hose after I bragged about squeezing one more season out of mine
He said 'this is what happens when you cheap out for $8 at the hardware store' and the rubber was split in three places, so who actually wins by milking a $12 hose for 4 years instead of buying a decent one for $30?

Cracked up reading this because I definitely have that same $8 hose in my shed right now with electrical tape holding it together. Guess I know who the real winner is here and it's not me.

Guess I know who the real winner is here" hit me right in the feels... Buddy of mine patched his hose with duct tape and a zip tie last summer. Went to water his garden and the thing basically exploded, shot water everywhere but the plants.
