My old drill's chuck seized up for the first time in ten years
I was trying to swap a bit yesterday and it just wouldn't budge, no matter how hard I twisted. I ended up putting a drop of 3-in-1 oil on the threads, tapping it with a hammer, and letting it sit for an hour before it finally loosened. Has anyone else had a stuck chuck and what did you do to fix it?

Had the same thing happen to my cordless drill last winter. I used a pipe wrench for extra grip and sprayed some PB Blaster into the seam, left it overnight. The next day it came free with a scary crack.

Ever try heating it up first like @the_avery?
