Hot take: I was dead wrong about those cheap paint sprayers for trim work
I swore they'd waste more paint than they saved but after spraying 12 baseboards in my basement in under an hour with hardly any overspray, I'm sold-has anyone else had a cheap sprayer actually hold up for more than one job?

Oh man, yes! I had the exact same experience with a $40 sprayer from a big box store. I figured it would just be a waste of time and paint but I used it to hit all my kitchen cabinets last summer and it was a total game changer. I even ran a whole quart of latex through it without a single clog, which shocked me because I was sure it would gum up halfway through. That little thing is still sitting in my garage waiting for the next project. What model did you end up going with?

Did you thin that latex at all, or just run it straight from the can? Because I tried the same thing on a fence last spring and it clogged after about five minutes, so I'm curious if your cabinet paint was just thinner to begin with. Maybe the trick is using a sprayer meant for thicker stuff, or just accepting that you gotta plan for a quick rinse break every so often.
