Finally switched from a regular hammer to a framing hammer for demo work
I always thought framing hammers were just for framing, not for tearing stuff down. But after 3 tries swinging a regular hammer at a stubborn stud wall, my wrist was killing me so I grabbed my buddy's framing hammer and it got the job done in half the time. Anyone else find a tool they ignored for way too long?

Right?! A framing hammer changes everything for demo work.

A framing hammer is definitely better for demo work, but it's more about the weight and the waffle head than the hammer itself. The extra heft helps you swing through material easier than a standard 16 oz finish hammer ever could. Just make sure you're using a 22 oz or bigger if you're really trying to tear stuff down fast.
