Can we talk about how a squirt of WD-40 fixed my squeaky ceiling fan in under 10 seconds?

I put up with that annoying chirp for like 8 months until I finally sprayed the top joint and now it's dead silent, has anyone else found a random quick fix for something they ignored way too long?
