Blew $150 on a heated blanket that died after 2 weeks
Grabbed a Sunbeam heated throw from Target before a cold snap hit Portland. Worked perfect for maybe 10 nights then just stopped heating one side. Checked the connection plug and saw the pins were already corroded. Did I just get a dud or are these things all built to crap out that fast?

Are you sure you had the plug pushed all the way in? I've seen a lot of people blaming the blanket when really they just didn't seat the cord right. Those heated throws are pretty cheaply made for sure, but two weeks is way too fast for corrosion unless it got wet or something. I've had a cheap Sunbeam one for two winters now just by being careful with the connection and never balling it up when storing it. Honestly for $150 you should've gotten way more than two weeks out of it, so if you can still return it I'd definitely do that.

Wait, did you accidentally buy a camping blanket that runs on hopes and dreams?

Hold up, it's a camping blanket. Are we really out here acting like a piece of fabric needs a return policy? Just shake it out and call it a day.
