Tried microcurrent on a client with rosacea and it actually calmed her redness instead of flaring it up
I had a regular with sensitive rosacea who insisted on trying my microcurrent device even though I warned her it could go bad, and after 6 sessions her flushing is way less noticeable - anyone else seen this work backwards from what we're taught?

Oh wow, that's really interesting! I actually read somewhere that microcurrent can help with rosacea because it boosts circulation and lymphatic drainage in a gentler way than other treatments. Your mileage may vary of course, but it sounds like your client is one of those cases where it really works against what we normally expect.

So does that mean the microcurrent is actually calming things down instead of making it worse? Because I've had a similar thing happen with one of my regulars, she has rosacea flare ups but after a few sessions of microcurrent her redness actually looked more even, not less if that makes sense. I think it's the lymphatic drainage part that's key, like @cora_jenkins said, because it's moving that extra fluid and heat out of the skin instead of just zapping it. It's a weird one where what you'd expect gets turned on its head but it works out.
