That one client who cried during a facial still sticks with me months later

Had a woman in her late 50s come in last March for a basic hydrating facial, nothing crazy. Midway through the massage part she just starts tearing up, like silent crying. I froze for a second not going to lie, but I kept going and asked if she was okay. She said nobody had touched her face gently in over 10 years since her husband passed. That hit me way harder than I expected. I finished the service and we just sat there talking for like 20 minutes after. She booked another appointment for next month and asked if I could do the same thing again. Has anyone else had a client get emotional during a treatment like that?

Nobody had touched her face gently in over 10 years" - I mean, okay, that's a little sad but isn't it kinda dramatic to cry over a facial? Like, she could've just said she misses her husband and moved on. Feels like she was just looking for some extra attention.

Yeah, people get weird about strangers touching them sometimes.
